The Silence of the Lotus (Not available at present)

This is the third volume of poems by the same carthusian author also produced by Professor Hogg in his Analecta Cartusiana series and it is number 257. It is a selection made from his entire collection stretching from 1964 to 2008 and it includes some from three books of children's poems as well.
The selection was made by Anna Maksjan,the author of The Mystical Dimensions of the Poetry of John Bradburne and the Carthusian. So Anna was familiar with much of the poetry already from her studies. All are impressed by her selection so there is gathered together the best of his poems in a big volume of 313 pages. It is a beautiful book to handle all glossy pages and four watercolours by a Spanish Carthusian of St Hughs Charterhouse where they both live.
