The monks lead an austere life of strict poverty, but the maintenance of the extensive monastery is costly. As the community has no income, any donation is gratefully received. We remember our benefactors daily in our prayers.

Besides the normal upkeep of the monastery buildings, we have undertaken the restoration of Parknowle, a listed building, which was on the brink of collapse. It is the building where the community meets.

We have started the restoration in 2020. In January 2025, we still need over £1M to complete the work externally and then refurbish it internally. Any donation, however small, is welcome as it can help replace a slate or a rotten beam.
