This book contains 80 beautiful water colours by William Hole a famous English artist of the 19th century. The Holy Land had hardly changed in his day since the time of Our Lord so his paintings capture the everyday scenes that Christ would have encountered. The book is not only a lovely gift but also an ideal aid in prayer since it contains all the major events of Our Saviour's life and also many of the parables. W Hole wrote small captions for each painting. These are given in six languages including English. There is a preface by Cardinal Martini.
